Agenda 2030

20 October 2015

In September 2015, Agenda 2030 was adopted at a new summit in the UN. The document consists of a political declaration, a description of the situation in the world, 17 global sustainable development objectives and 167 goals, and a chapter setting out how the goals will be achieved and the means required.

Helena Sundén, Secretary General of the Swedish Anti-Corruption Institute, see it as a progress that anti-corruption is included in the declaration, but would like to see anti-corruption even more emphasized and become a global objective.
– Anti-corruption is not just a leg along with sustainability, environmental- and human rights, anti-corruption is an umbrella over all of this. And the goals are measurable.
